The Swartland Independent Producers (SIP) is an association of some wine producers in Swartland that have committed to produce wines that comply with specific guidelines. The aim is to ensure that the high quality wines produced give a true sense of place and expression of character of the Swartland.
It is the only movement of its kind in South Africa and the New World and demands an organic approach to viticulture, specific grape varietals and natural fermentation.
